We are showing you the results of two online questionnaires:

1. Cultural Change and Sport: results of the survey

Of the 90 people asked in Kingfisher (England), 60 were males and 30 were females.

In the 2-6 and 7-11 age ranges all children played ball games, dance,
racket games, playground games in pre school.

They did the same in primary school with the addition of swimming.

They all had ball and racket games available outside of school and 60
percent also cycled outside of school.  They all watched football and
cricket on the tv but none went to live games.

In the 12-16 years age range all children played ball and racket games,
athletics, dance and playground games in pre-school then had swimming
added in primary school and gymnastics and some water sports experiences
in secondary school.  They had the same out of school activities as the
2-6 and 7-11 ages and also had various martial arts activities added.  50%
said they played football and cycling out of school and 50% did nop
activities out of school hours.  They all watched football, cricket and
motor sports on tv but only 30% went to live sporting events of football.

In the 17-20 and 21-30 age ranges the results were as above but they also
included 70 percent doing rugby in their secondary school sports, plus
rugby in their tv watching, live events plus cricket at live events.

In the 31-50 age range all answers were the same as 17-20 and 21-30 range
with the addition of boxing and wrestling watched on tv and martial arts
done as an adult activity by 40% of participants.

In the 51-66 and 67+ age ranges the answers were the same as above but
they also now included keep fit/exercising activities since school years
and were more proactive in swimming in their leisure time in 60% of
participants.
